Cookie and analytics notice
FaultCodeLab uses Google Analytics in Consent Mode v2 with analytics and advertising storage denied by default, plus technical logs, to understand aggregate site usage and keep the site stable.
Current status
- No login cookies are used.
- No payment cookies are used.
- No advertising cookies are used.
- Google Analytics analytics storage is denied by default, so the site should not ask Google Analytics to set
_gacookies before consent. - The dismissible privacy notice is informational; dismissing it does not turn analytics storage on.
Browser-only interactions
Search suggestions, custom filters, guided lookup controls, and service prep helpers run in the browser. They are designed not to require a FaultCodeLab account, payment profile, or stored contact form.
Why analytics storage may be used
Cookieless analytics pings and technical metrics help show which pages are useful, how pages perform, and whether technical issues need attention. They should not be used to store raw repair notes, raw search text, payment details, addresses, or serial numbers.
